"I
appreciate all the extra effort that you put into the hunt to make
it a great success. the accommodations for first rate, the meals
were excellent and everyone in camp seemed to be very compatible. I
hope we have another opportunity to hunt together in the future."

"But my
written words can begin to describe the fantastic experience I had
last week. Perhaps a three hour conversation over a campfire
would be a good start !! - I almost cried with elation when I
realized this was going to be the hunt I have dreamed of since my
introduction to hunting "

Dirk,
Your description doesn't begin to convey the fun we had
hunting with your crew. The opportunity to get to spend time with
your wife and daughters added a very warm touch to a quality run
operation.
You are a very lucky man.
We knew when we hit camp that we were in a special place
for hunting elk by the expressions of the other antelope hunters .
And what we experienced was nothing short of spectacular. We began
before dawn with the Admonition from Justin " Shoot today if you
see something you like cuz it will get a whole lot harder as the
week goes on" WIth that advice in mind, we could never have
imagined seeing over 100 elk well within shooting range, hell well
within bow range! 6 of them, including the one I shot were THE
biggest elk I had ever personally seen in the wild after hunting
over 15 years ( all free range)
We spotted and stalked, we still hunted, we got stampeded
by over 40 elk, we laughed and joked, and at about 4 o'clock, I
remember saying" I don;t care how the rest of this day plays out ,
but this one will go down as among the top three days afield in my
life" And then the bull bugled
I've attached a picture cuz he really is special. But not
more special than people we were with. Just nice icing. Very nice
icing
Looking forward to hunting Mule deer with you someday soon,
Regards and Happy new year,
G Faison
GPO pays in spades again. Thank you Dirk and Justin . I may have
come up empty handed this year on my high country mulie hunt with
Dirk, but it sure wasn't for lack of effort. Dirk had us hunting
hard from well before first light until dark every day, in some of
the steepest, nastiest terrain I have ever hunted. We were on a
couple of stalks that started 3 canyons and a mile away, only to
close the distance to within shooting range and have the slippery
buck vanish. I have already filled out my application for next
year, it was one of the best hunts that I have ever been on even
with the unfilled tag. If GPO is guiding, Im hunting!!!! Happy
New Year boys.

Dirk,
Just wanted to send an email and say thanks for a great hunt. Even
though the weather didn't cooperate, things worked out fine due to
you and your great staff.
Brian
Dirk,
Thanks again for my recent pronghorn hunt. It was an excellent
experience, in spite of the snowy and cold weather.

Hey Dirk
its Cody,
I just want to say I had a great time hunting with Justin, Todd,
Toren and Cathy they were great friends i would love to meet you
and would really like to hunt with you guys next year i would love
to hunt with you guys every year i did not want to Justins when i
had i cryed and they cryed to GOD BleSS!!
Your friend C. Malone
Dirk,
Attached is pretty nice picture you might want to use to attract husband-wife
team hunters. Our friends seem to enjoy it a lot.
We still would like to receive some of the pictures you took of the 2010
harvests (one MD and two goats). Not as many of ours came out well as we
had hoped. So, we could use some of yours to flesh out our digital scrap
book. You could probably most easily dump them onto a DVD and mail them
to us. I will cover any expense.
As I wrote right after our hunts this all, we really enjoyed the hunts with you
and want to thank you for the special tender care and attention. Carol is
already talking about the next hunts and her finally getting a big mule
deer. She (and I) also have developed a fondness for the antelope, and
may try to do one of those hunts each year. Of course, we will still keep
trying for the elk tags and a return to the CCC camp.
Let us know if any hole develops in your cat hunts this winter, due to
cancellations or whatever. One hunt is enough as Carol is not keen on this for
herself, although she would come along for the experience. We might be able to
sneak away if the timing is just right. As I said, next year's schedule
looks tight as I have a space mission (Dawn) reaching its busy time late next
summer and into the fall. The LaGrange mule deer hunt early in October
looks impossible as we must be in France at that time. Are there any other
reasonable options? Any antelope hunt might also have to be later than
the now usual Douglas hunt.
We are still planning to attend a meeting at the Jackson Lake Lodge over the
4th of July period next year and will try to stop by before or after, if there
is a good time for you guys.
Hope your guys continued to do well with the later hunts. Hi to the girls
and Bridgett.
Tom
Dirk,
I wanted to
thank you and the whole team at GPO for an awesome western Antelope
hunt. I brought my 18 year old along for his first western hunt and
we had a terrific adventure putting numerous stalks on with Shad and
being right there to talk my son through the shot on his very first
big game buck taken. Memories for a lifetime to be sure....special
thanks to Cathy our cook who took great care of us and the GPO hunt
staff of Justin, Todd, Torin & Shad for their efforts in getting us
close enough to tag out on these lighting fast beautiful animals. I
would be happy to be a reference for you.......

Hey Dirk,
I just wanted to drop you
a note and let you know how impressed I was with the team of guides
at the CP ranch on my archery mule deer hunt last week. I have been
on many guided hunts, 15 or so. The group of guides at CP with
Justin, Todd, Toran, and Shad, along with Cathy were excellent. They
worked very well as a team and provided an excellent hunt and hunt
experience.
I have attached a picture
of the mule deer taken, if Justin has more pictures please send them
on to me.
Thanks Dirk for a great
hunt, I would be interested in hunting elk also with GPO in the
future.

Howdy ALL!
Attached is a
photo of Cody, three time N. AZ. Hunts for Hope Hunter, with his
GREAT...Wyoming Buck Antelope.
Cody and his father traveled to Wyoming to hunt with a good
outfitter friend of mine - Dirk Jenkins. THANKS DIRK and your TEAM
for taking care of our SPECIAL HUNTER...CODY!!!!
God Bless you
ALL!
Dear Dirk
A short note to thank you for the great time that Annette and I had
antelope hunting with your crew last month.
Special thanks to Andrew for his patience in getting Annette on to
her goat. Mine too, for that matter. Any time you get a 14 year old
girl into a position where she makes a 303 yard shot on a small
animal, there is a lot of skill involved. The downside is that I now
am periodically hearing about how her shot was longer and in much
more wind, than mine. All true and I'm glad to take the grief.
At any rate, as you know, Andrew was the only one with a camera when
she connected. I believe he mentioned that he hunts through
Thanksgiving and then would be back home for a while.
Any chance you could drop him a note and get us copies of the
pictures he took? Email version is fine. If you see one you would
like for your brochure or website, please feel free to use it.
Also, please pass along my regards to Ryan and Sean the next time
you see them.
Thanks very much and hope to see you folks again in the future.
